South Korean rock band, CNBLUE, held their first live at Nippon Budokan. The performances took place during two days and gathered a total of 26 000 fans, and as vocalist Yonghwa said “It was the best CNBLUE live ever!”. CNBLUE ARENA TOUR 2014 “WAVE” finally started with a BANG!

The concert started with a sweet opening — the ballad song Ring. That time, there was a center rotary stage just like when they held their last live as an indie band, 392. “This first live at Budokan represents full of happiness.” said vocalist Yonghwa, before vocalist and guitarist Jonghyun followed. “We were thinking about the set list for this live, and as we decided to make it in a winter atmosphere. But finally, it’s not very cold outside that I expected (laugh). Well, hot or cold, it doesn’t matter.” he commented in fluent Japanese.

This time the set list was featuring the songs from the last album, WAVE, which were played for the first time in this tour. Fans were shouting all across the hall, involved with the members in a high tension. Further, Yonghwa launched “As the title of the album is WAVE, I want to make the WAVE with everyone in the venue!”, and the audience around the stage didn’t hesitate making the “WAVE of the fans”.

It was the first live at Budokan after FNC KINGDOM which took place in March of this year. The boys talked about the event with enthusiasm. “At the end of the year FNC KINGDOM will be held too. Although our solo concerts are fun, KINGDOM is also very fun! If you have time, please come to enjoy it!” told Yonghwa while Jonghyun added “As there will be collaboration stage too, please look forward to it!”

Then, the show continued in high tension, including performances of the songs Foxy and I’m Sorry. The boys played non-stop until Radio. “It’s really enjoyable! It’s been a while since our last arena tour but it’s the most fun stage among these arena tours so far!” commented Yonghwa with a big smile.

During the encore, the song Can’t Stop was performed with melancholy. Started with the piano, each sound one after another made everyone have goose bumps. “We will continue to work hard in the future. It’s been 5 years since our debuts. We really became stronger. It’s really full of happiness. On stage we are at our place.” confessed Yonghwa while showing a sweet smile.

CNBLUE ARENA TOUR 2014 “WAVE” will continue in Osaka, Fukuoka and the final will be in Nagoya. In addition, at the end of the year, CNBLUE will also take part of FNC KINGDOM with all FNC artists.
