CNBLUE‘s Jung Yonghwa made his first solo appearance on Chinese variety show.
Yonghwa‘s guest appearance on Chinese Hunan TV’s variety program <Happy Camp> ranked 1st place in weekend viewer rating. On the July 18 broadcast “Gods of Asia” Special, Yonghwa alongside JJ Lin performed the song from his solo album <Checkmate>, and through variety of games he showed his sense of entertainment, gaining high viewer rating.
In addition, him doing voice impersonation of Chinese comedian Feng Gong as a greeting brought much laughter to the audience. His perfect Chinese traditional dance reenactment was also well-received among Chinese fans, showing his considerate side to the audience from the beginning until the end.
His hidden effort turned out fruitful. The show ranked first on viewer rating among variety programs on Chinese Central TV (CCTV) and all satellite TVs in China last weekend. Not only that, the keyword “Jung Yonghwa Happy Camp” ranked 2nd on real-time Hot Weibo Chart on the day the show was aired, and the number of his Weibo followers hit 130,000.
On the other hand, since November 17 last year, Yonghwa has been in 1st place for 35 consecutive weeks on Gaon Weibo Chart, leading the Korean Wave fever in the country.
